Today was an exciting day for the 6th graders a Turner Elementary and Kelly Elementary – as they had visits from four Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy students (7th and 8th graders who formerly attended Turner and Kelly)! The visits served as an opportunity for the 6th graders to ask questions about their upcoming transition into Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy.
The 6th graders at both schools enthusiastically asked questions (both prepared and impromptu) ranging from….”What time do classes start each day?”…. “What do I have to do to get the Pittsburgh Promise?”….”Do middle school and high school students eat together?”…. “Are there incentives for good behavior/good GPAs?”
The Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy students very candidly answered all questions with smiles in hopes to both inform and comfort the 6th graders as much as possible.
