As they stepped off the bus for their first day of school at Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy, Wilkinsburg students grades 7-12 enjoyed a warm welcome from the Superintendents of Wilkinsburg and Pittsburgh Public Schools, Representative Edward Gainey, our School Board President, the transition team, MADDADS, local police and other community members. Walking up the steps of Westinghouse was filled with handshakes, high fives, smiles and words of encouragement.

Once the students were in class, Superintendent Dr. Linda Iverson met Dr. Anthony Hamlet, Superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools, along with Pittsburgh Westinghouse Principal LouAnn Zwieryznski and members of the MADDADS crew.
