Principal's Message

The Wilkinsburg Academy Alternative Program continues to offer valuable options for students! This year, the Alternative Program has adopted a new model, moving secondary students into the third floor of the High School building, located at 747 Wallace Avenue, and elementary students into their home school buildings. As the school district's only k-12 school, the Alternative Program serves students who are at-risk of school failure and in need of a smaller school environment with an increased level of care. The Alternative Program provides students with the same rigorous academic content as all of the other district schools, as well as group and individual therapy, a behavioral health support team, and an overall caring and nurturing school experience in separate elementary, middle and high school programs. Our goal is to educate Wilkinsburg students in their home school district while providing them with the services they need in order to achieve their goals and build a foundation for their future. We welcome your child's success! read
