Principal's Message

We are entering a new school year with high expectations for all of our students. The faculty and staff at Wilkinsburg Jr. Sr. High School believe that all students can learn. We pledge to do everything within our power to ensure that all students will be given the opportunity to succeed in the area of academics. In order to address these goals we must adopt standards that are rigorous and demanding. Our theme this year is "Structuring for Success."
Students will be expected to accept responsibility for their own behavior by showing self-control at all times. We must respect the rights of others and their property. You are expected to attend and be on time for school. Please take time to review the student handbook and discipline code. Life begins when you make the choice and the choices we make determine the quality of our lives.
In today's global economy, you are paid well for your skills, not because you have a college degree. The more skills you possess, the greater your pay will be and the better your future. Remember that there is life after Wilkinsburg High School.
"Through the history of civilization, the concept of education has remained stable. Colors fade, temples crumble, empires fall, but education endures. Societies that succeed respect their teachers."--Harry Wong
You as a student can and will make a difference. We will succeed because we have chosen to become successful.
HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
