| Wilkinsburg Academy 10th grader James Simmons was recently named a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Young Achiever for perfect attendance this school year as well as being on the high honor roll. In addition to his studies at the Academy, James is a Pittsburgh Storehouse Volunteer and works as a dietary aide at the Jane Holmes Residence & Gardens, a home for senior citizens. According to James, "The Wilkinsburg Academy has been fun for me. I'm learning new things, especially in math, because the teachers really talk with you and help you."
