| The Wilkinsburg Academy, Wilkinsburg School District's alternative school, just celebrated the one-year anniversary of its founding in the fall of 2003. The Academy is proud of its students, who are making real strides in academic achievement and attendance. The Academy celebrated with special appearances by radio personalities from WAMO, as well as an awards ceremony honoring students for perfect attendance and excellence in academics.
