| Just under 100 students from Kelly elementary were recognized for their improvement in state test standards on September 18, 2008.
Results of the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) exams for the 2007 - 2008 school year showed adequate results in overall reading, math, attendance, and graduation benchmarks. School officials held the award recognition to encourage students with their progress.
"Our students work diligently and their success should be recognized," said Principal, Rosalind Fisher. "We also want to acknowledge the parents because without their involvement success would not be possible,"she added.
This is the third consecutive year that the Wilkinsburg School District meets state testing standards. |
