| Visible members of the Wilkinsburg community took time out to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday by visiting Kelly and Johnston Elementary Schools to read favorite Seuss stories. Judge Kim Hoots, WTAE-TV anchor Kelly Frye, and Wilkinsburg Superintendent Archie Perrin are just a few of the community members who participated. Students also welcomed local police officers, firefighters, and members of the school district's administration.
In each classroom, community members stressed the importance of a strong reading foundation, and how it factored into their ability to excel at each of their professions, no matter how different they were.
