| Each month, the Wilkinsburg Board of Education honors a "Student of the Month" from each school in the district. Teachers nominate deserving students based on academic performance, attendance, class participation, and a positive attitude. Pictured above is the Middle School's Student of the Month for October 2009, 7th-grader Naija Parker. She is joined by her mother, Associate Principal Kevin Fortuna, and Board Member Carole Lee.
