Hosanna House, a community center in Wilkinsburg, brought their Pre-K students to Kelly Elementary School yesterday to visit the kindergarten classrooms and tour the building. We anticipate that a number of Hosanna House’s Pre-K students who live within our school district will join our kindergarten classes next year, but even the visiting students who live in other districts still benefited from seeing a model kindergarten classroom. The visit allowed students to get a good look at what next year will be like for them at their respective new schools.
The students also shared a snack with new friends and finished their visit with Al Mazing‘s magic show. All students received a book, bookmark and information on how to prepare for kindergarten.
