Students Graduating From Pittsburgh Public Schools Now Eligible for Pittsburgh Promise Scholarships

Posted in: Pittsburgh Public Schools Partnership News

On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Promise board voted unanimously to make Wilkinsburg students who graduate from Pittsburgh Public Schools eligible to receive Promise Scholarships beginning with the class of 2017. Students must also meet the enrollment, GPA, and attendance requirements of The Promise, and plan to attend an approved Pennsylvania post-secondary institution.

Superintendent Dr. Iverson said the decision “provides more evidence of the ongoing, great partnership between both districts to help all students and families plan, prepare and pay for education beyond high school.”
