The program, which focuses on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills, kicks off on June 22nd and will run until July 30th, Monday through Thursday. Between the hours of 9:00am and 1:30pm, students will be immersed in a world of creativity and discovery. This year the program is partnering with Zulama, Sense of Place Learning, Art Expression, Saturday Light Brigade, Assemble Pgh, Gateway to the Arts and the Legacy Arts Project. Activities include audio recording and editing, creative gaming, painting & sculpture, nature survival skills, dance, drumming, 3D printing, computer programming, robotics, photography/videography, gardening and wooden model construction.
Each Thursday, students participate in special on-site activities, field trips and/or construction projects.
Participating students also enjoy small-group tutoring as well as recreation time in the boy’s gym. Students may also elect to play on one of our three Xbox gaming systems, play board games or use the program’s own laptop computers.
Students will receive a free breakfast and lunch, as well as free school bus transportation to the program each morning. Students walk home in the afternoon.
