Members of the Carnegie Mellon University Girls of Steel Robotics Team visited Turner Intermediate School on Friday, May 17 as part of their community outreach program. Team members worked with students from Turner to build and drive a completely functional robot chassis. Once students collaborated to build their chassis, they took turns driving them around. Watch a video of the action below.
Girls of Steel is a K-12 outreach program at CMU that was founded in 2010. The program encourages students – in particular girls and women – to explore STEM. Thank you to the Girls of Steel for their time and talents today!
