The Wilkinsburg School District is seeking a dedicated, community-focused individual to fill a vacant two-year seat on the School Board. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our district and ensure all students receive a high-quality education.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be of good moral character
- Must have resided in Wilkinsburg for at least one year
- Commitment to public education and student well-being
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow board members on district policies and initiatives
- Oversee the district’s budget and ensure fiscal responsibility
- Support the superintendent and administration in student achievement and staff development
- Engage with parents, educators, and the community to understand and address needs
- Advocate for the district at local, state, and federal levels

Candidates will be required to attend the public meeting on Tuesday, December 16, at 7 p.m. at 718 Wallace Avenue to participate in an interview with the Board. The School Board will appoint the selected candidate during this meeting.
