Due to unforeseen circumstances, Turner Intermediate School has recently been designated as a polling location for the 2026 Pennsylvania State Primary Election. As a result, all Turner Intermediate students will transition to remote learning on Tuesday, May 19. This decision ensures the safety and security of our students and staff while our community uses the building for voting.
Students at Kelly Primary will not be affected by this change and will continue with in-person learning as scheduled.
Students will be instructed to bring their Chromebooks home on Monday, May 18, in preparation for remote learning on Tuesday. On remote learning days, students will be instructed to sign in to their classroom's Google Meet by 9:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Families will receive more specific information about the day's schedule from their child's homeroom teacher in advance of the remote learning day.
For community members participating in the election: those in Wilkinsburg Ward 1, Districts 1,4, and 6, who typically vote at the Eastridge Public Library, may cast their ballot at Turner Intermediate School on Tuesday, May 19.
We appreciate your flexibility and cooperation as we work to support both student learning and civic access in our community.
