Pre-K Lunch Aide
The purpose of the Lunch Aide position is to assist the classroom Lead Teacher and Teaching Assistant in providing the correct ratio in the classroom and to support classroom routines.
Pre-K Early Childhood Education Teacher
Wilkinsburg School District is a small urban public school district with approximately 560 students. This position is a member of the Wilkinsburg Education Association and is subject to the conditions of employment as outlined in the negotiated contract. This position reports directly to the building principal.
The Maintenance employee directly reports to the Director of Building and Grounds. The individual is should be a craftsman who possesses basic electrical, heating, plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting and masonry skills necessary for Buildings and Grounds operations. The school's physical condition must be excellent so full educational usage can be accomplished at all times.
The Building Aid will work closely with administrators, faculty, students and staff to enhance the educational environment of the school. Building aides are assigned based on availability due to absenteeism or to support special programs as determined by the building principal.
Special Education Paraprofessional
The position of Special Education Paraprofessional is a 10-month position in the district and an integral part of the building's administration (educational support) team whose primary responsibility is to work with teachers to provide additional educational support to either small groups or individual students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
Long-Term Substitute Teacher
The elementary substitute teacher serves in a leadership role to establish an elementary program and a class environment that promotes social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth by providing rich and engaging experiences. Establishes effective rapport with students, motivates students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for learning, in accordance with each student's ability.
