Safety and Security

At Wilkinsburg School District, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We understand that a secure learning environment is essential for student success and provides peace of mind for the families and community we serve. 

 

Our approach to safety and security includes both preventative and responsive strategies. Each school building is supported by dedicated security officers who help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Safety practices and building-level support are overseen by our Coordinator of Safety and Security. 

 

As part of our commitment to student safety, we regularly review and strengthen our procedures and training to support a safe and secure learning environment. In addition, we collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders to strengthen coordination and preparedness in the event of an emergency.
