Welcome to the Wilkinsburg School District Technology page! We provide K-12 education technology tools to support student success. While our district directly educates students in Pre-K through Grade 6, we partner with Pittsburgh Public Schools for grades 7-12.

Student Chromebook Program (Grades K-6)

Chromebooks are distributed to students each August and collected approximately two weeks before the end of the school year. If a student withdraws from the district, the Chromebook must be returned before the withdrawal process is complete.

Chromebooks are primarily used in the classroom and may only be taken home when homework requires device access. A parent or guardian must sign a permission form before a Chromebook may be taken home. To support healthy technology habits, all district-issued Chromebooks are automatically disabled each night from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

To help keep devices in good working condition, students and families should follow these Chromebook care and usage guidelines:

  • Daily Charging: Fully charge the Chromebook overnight before each school day when it has been taken home.
  • Proper Shutdown: Completely power off the Chromebook each day (rather than simply closing the lid) so it can receive important system updates. 
  • Cleaning and Care: Clean the device only with a soft, dry cloth or a disinfecting wipe. Do not use liquid cleaners or water, and keep food, drinks, and stickers away from the Chromebook.

Tech Support and Help Desk

  • Parent Portal Login and Account Issues: Email servicedesk@wilkinsburgschools.org
  • Chromebook Repairs and Hardware Issues: Notify your child's homeroom teacher. The teacher will submit an IT support ticket on your behalf. 

Google Workspace for Education

Students in Pre-K through Grade 6 receive a secure, district-managed Google Workspace for Education account in accordance with District Policy No. 815 - Acceptable Use of Internet. 

Student accounts provide access to the digital tools used for teaching and learning while maintaining appropriate security and privacy safeguards.

  • Restricted Email: Student Gmail accounts can only send and receive emails with Wilkinsburg School District staff and approved educational organizations.
  • Core Learning Tools: Students have access to Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Drive, and other district-approved applications to support classroom instruction and build digital learning portfolios throughout their enrollment.
Standard Student Login Credentials
  • Email Adress: [First Initial][Last Name]@wilkinsburgschools.org
  • Password: Eight-digit birthday in MMDDYYYY format (example, January 1, 2018 = 01012018)

Infinite Campus Parent Portal

The Infinite Campus Parent Portal provides parents and guardians with secure, real-time access to important student information, including attendance, grades, class schedules, report cards, and district announcements.

Parents and guardians can access their account in two ways:

  • Web Portal: Visit www.wilkinsburgschools.org → Hover/Click Parents menu → Select Infinite Campus - Parent
  • Mobile App: Download the Campus Parent app from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Search for "Wilkinsburg School District" and "Pennsylvania" to connect. 
New User Activation

New Parent Portal accounts require an activation code, which is sent by email. System invitation emails are generated weekly on Mondays. To help ensure you receive these messages, please add infinite@wilkinsburgschools.org to your email contacts or safe sender list.
