Volunteer Opportunities
Families are valued partners in the education of every student. Whether you volunteer in the building, participate in school events, or support your child's learning at home, your involvement helps create a strong and connected school community.
Families can support student success by talking with their child about school, helping with and reviewing homework, staying informed through the district website and social media, reviewing the school calendar, sharing information about upcoming events, and maintaining regular communication with teachers.
There are many ways to volunteer in our schools, including:
- Assisting with positive behavior incentive programs
- Chaperoning field trips
- Participating in parent organization meetings
- Attending Board of School Directors meetings
- Volunteering at family engagement events
- Assisting with bus stop monitoring and other school activities, as needed
To help maintain a safe environment for all students, volunteers who wish to serve in our schools must submit the required Pennsylvania clearances to the appropriate school office before volunteering. Required clearances include:
Additional clearances may be required depending on the nature and frequency of the volunteer activity. Please contact your child's school office for more information.
