Prior to the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Wilkinsburg School District's administrative team came together to develop a new vision, mission, and set of beliefs that reflect the district's commitment to student success. Together, these guiding principles serve as the foundation for our work, shaping our decisions, strengthening our relationships, and ensuring every student has access to the opportunities, support, and high-quality learning experiences they need to reach their full potential.

Our vision is to create the conditions for students, faculty, and staff to unlock their highest possible potential and thrive in a diverse, evolving world by fostering an inclusive, innovative, and supportive learning environment.

We provide high-quality, enriching instructional experiences in a safe, healthy, and caring learning environment.

Our Beliefs

At Wilkinsburg School District, we believe:

  • All students can achieve and do well. 
  • Student relationships with faculty and staff are the foundation for our success. 
  • We meet all students where they are and provide the tools and resources to support them on their path to excellence.
