Engaging Arts

Students in the Wilkinsburg School District have many opportunities to experience the arts. Our band, musical, and visual arts programming provide spaces for children to build confidence, embrace creativity, and express themselves. These opportunities deepen the classroom experience, allowing children to develop skills beyond those required for our core subjects. 

Wilkinsburg School District has a rich tradition in the arts, especially when it comes to student musical productions. Each year, students at Turner Intermediate put on a rousing show, such as 2026's Shrek The Musical KIDS. These productions allow students to find their voice at an early age. Combined with ample opportunities to play an instrument or put paint to canvas, our Tigers are primed to succeed on the stage and throughout their lives.
