Robust Academics

When students enter the Wilkinsburg School District, they have access to high-quality instruction that allows students to grow and gives them the tools they need to succeed. There are many elements that set Wilkinsburg apart from other schools - namely, a tight-knit community feel that allows teachers more one-on-one time with students. Teachers and staff develop relationships with our young Tigers, and that leads to better outcomes in the classroom.

Students aren't the only ones learning, either - our teachers benefit from an emphasis on professional development, research, and resources. Wilkinsburg teachers are given the tools they need to educate our young people well. We follow the Pennsylvania Academic Standards, which define what students should be able to do at each grade level and in every subject. These standards help prepare them for the future, whether they pursue higher education or a career.
