Starting in the 2016-2017 academic year, through a partnership with the Pittsburgh Public School District, Wilkinsburg students in grades 7-12 will attend Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy for middle school and high school.
Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy, serving Wilkinsburg, Homewood, Point Breeze, East Liberty and Highland Park, is fully committed to the advancement of the students academically, working with partners and community organizations to provide relevant and comprehensive opportunities for its students. It is a safe, secure, state-of-the-art school. It has received significant funding and has launched some exciting new programs – which it is continuing to expand upon.
Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy currently collaborates with over 45 colleges, universities, community organizations, agencies, churches, and hospitals – and through these partnerships provides mentoring, community services, workforce development opportunities, tutoring, college preparatory classes and certification/licensures.

Magnet schools and programs allow students to pursue special interests, talents or career goals. Magnet schools are not neighborhood specific-so students who reside anywhere in the Pittsburgh Public School District can apply to attend. Westinghouse Sports Programs:
Pittsburgh Westinghouse Academy offers a variety of athletic programs including our football team. It is an award-winning program where many Wilkinsburg students have participated for years.
